A Prayer For Those Who Are Troubled

God, You stand with us in times present; You carry us through many hardships; You shield us from danger over and over again. Thank You, thank You for allowing us to lay our needs before You now. We ask for Your help, Father, we are perplexed and afraid. We do not know which way to turn. You, Holy Spirit, are our help when we are weak. You search our hearts and answer our petitions that we bring before You. You understand and answer our prayers even when we do not know how or what to pray for. God, we seek the courage to face all situations before us. We ask for wisdom to see the way that is right and for the strength and courage to choose the right way to go. Lord grant us the strength to endure. We know that You will not allow us to be defeated; we know that we can be victorious through You. We pray that the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds. Through Christ we pray. Amen.

Tonight's Scripture is taken from the book of John, Chapter 11:25,26
I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die.

For All Of Those Who Have Lost Someone Dear..

Living

It was a heart
It fell apart
It was a day
It went away
It was a minute
Time stood still in it
It was a way
Life was so gay
Then came a sight
That brought on night
A curtain fell
And broke a spell
A tree stopped growing
A man stood knowing
Something was lost
He paid the cost
He chose unknowns
He felt the thorns
of life.

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God

1 Corinthians

18.) For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19.) For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
20.) Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21.) For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
22.) Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
23.) but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24.) but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25.) For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
26.) Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
27.) But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28.) He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things----and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are,
29.) so that no one may boast before Him.
30.) It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
31.) Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
